Going, going.....gone!!!!
Construction of our new synthetic green is well on the way as you can see from these pictures.

Left: Workmen take a morning tea break on the first day.
Below: The large digger is making short work on what was once a lovely 14.5 second grass green.

Left: After a minor problem with a damaged sewer pipe, the repairs and construction are about to begin. Work is also concurrently being done on laying electrical conduits in preparation for future provision of lights above the new green.
State Champion of Champions finals:
A credit to Ernie Richards who made it to the quater finals of the State Champion of Champions in Swan Hill. It was by all reports a good game in excellent conditions against a very good young champion from Sebastopol.

State Pairs Championships:
Congratulations to Ernie Richards and Noel Spargo who made it to the quarter finals of the RVBA State pairs championships in Shepparton. They were knocked out in the quarters but only after a very near miss on the final end of the game. A fantastic effort for Noel and Ernie who have won the Club Pairs Championship three times in the last five years. (Noel also made it through to the final sixteen in the RVBA singles Championships in Bairnsdale last year after winning the Group eleven finals.)

RVBA Over Sixties final:
In yet another great finish to the season, Eric Butcher and Ernie Richards made it through to the semi finals of the RVBA Over Sixties Championship played at Rosanna. Congratulations to Eric and Ernie who managed to win against some very good "young" veterans to get to the final.
